FoFPC Version 2.0 is underway... I have truly appreciated everyones positive feedback on the new
look and feel, along with ideas for the new content. I am still working on migrating the old
content to the new look and feel, along with asking for new articles from you! This month I am
working on the new message base (a different type of "Web Forum"), along with porting all of
the FreePascal RTL to online searchable content. The RTL project is consuming hours, as I am
building working examples for every command I document. You may have noticed the find box,
it works, not pretty yet. However, you can search our content - including content of PDF files.
I would like to extend a special thank you to Neil over at Delphi Basics for providing my first
external link to the site. If you are a blogger, or even a web master, please pass along our
http://www.friends-of-fpc.org/ address in your postings. As you may have noticed, I have been
tuning the content and graphics for better performance, the bottom of every page you will see
which server processed your request and how many millionths of a second it took. Yes, the server
cluster is truly that fast!
If you would like to help sponsor Friends of FPC you can do so by purchasing a sponsored by
banner as you see on the bottom of each page. As we didcate hours per week researching what
people are searching for on the web - then we look at our knowledgebase and if it is something
we have extensive knowledge on - an article is written and published. However, if it is a
topic that we must research, I post my research in real-time in the research area. So, you
may find documents in the research area which are brief thoughts, or just stop right in the
middle of a statement --- I am constantly working --- so I will finish the document soon.
Simply email me, and I will make it a higher priority... or when the messagebase is finished
this month - you will be able to ask your questions there.
Your Webmaster,
G.E. Ozz Nixon Jr.

the state of being gratified; great satisfaction.
"Friends of Free Pascal is, in my view, one of the best things to happen to FPC since the compiler first appeared"
